Members of Coulsdon Probus attended the 40th anniversary dinner of Caterham Probus, and as Caterham is acknowledged as the very first Probus club, this also celeberated the 40th anniversary of the Probus fraternity.
Special guest was Richard Stilgo the television personality and his wife Annabella.
Richard has had a long association with Caterham Probus and gave an interesting after dinner talk about his career and the charity he founded, the Orpheus Center in Godstone where disabled young people are trained in music and the dramatic arts.
The chairman of Coulsdon Probus, Malcolm Rusco-Pond and his wife Elizabeth, were honoured by being included on the top table. Also on the top table were were the chairman of Caterham Probus, the chairman of Tandridge Probus, and the chairman of Caterham Rotary with their wives.
